I have moved to the area to take up this new position. I support our Head of Compliance on regulatory requirements and monitor that procedures are being followed to ensure we remain compliant within FCA rules. I couldn’t feel more lucky to be able work here using the experience I have gained in the big city whilst enjoying the beauty that this area has to offer. It really is the best of both worlds.
After 22 years in Financial Services in London, I moved to Cornwall in 2014 for a seachange and joined FOLK2FOLK in 2015. I’m proud to work for a small local company that has now expanded nationally and delivers an invaluable service for the local community. Outside of work I enjoy walking along the beach with my son at home in Padstow.
I have recently joined FOLK2FOLK having been a qualified accountant for over 30 years working in a variety of organisations. I moved to Cornwall 13 years ago and love the lifestyle. Outside work I enjoy keeping fit, meeting friends for coffee and volunteering for the RNLI.

My role here at FOLK2FOLK is Process Improvement Analyst. My background is quite eclectic; starting as an admin assistant through to more recently, project management, business analysis, and service improvement. I am passionate about helping businesses to reduce waste whilst maintaining quality and consistency and providing an excellent customer experience. I have lived in Cornwall since 2004, have two wonderful children, and very much enjoy spending time with them and my girlfriend – exploring new places. I enjoy music, comedy, movies, reading when I get the time, and the occasional documentary.
My role at FOLK2FOLK is as a Business Intelligence Analyst, primarily supporting colleagues with business reporting, but also creating analytical information and dashboards as business management tools.
My previous careers included 20+ years as an accountant, both in professional practice and commerce and also in property management.
In my spare time I enjoy listening to my extensive vinyl collection of all types of music, walking with my partner Lisa and most of all creating photographs.
After twenty plus years as a commercial property lawyer in London private practice, it was time for a change. I love the variety of being in-house legal and client-side. Along with my twin daughters and partner, I am now a west Cornwall smallholder with a menagerie of rare breed sheep and chickens, bees, cats, a peacock and our beloved greyhound.
I first joined FOLK2FOLK as a Client Relationship Officer for the Lending Team and have now moved into the Borrowing Team. I have previous experience in administration and finance. Outside of work I am a keen pianist and play to Diploma standard. I love my whippet and exploring the world.
I have worked in Finance for over 40 years with the majority of that time spent in big ticket asset finance e.g. Planes, Trains & Automobiles. After a short career break I was delighted to join Roy Warren’s Team in FOLK2FOLK to put my experience to good use within a organisation dedicated to supporting local businesses and communities. Outside of work you will find me either on the golf course, tennis court or in the gym.
I have a background in Financial Services and joined FOLK2FOLK in 2016 as a Client Relationship Officer. My responsibilities include matching our lenders to the loan opportunities on offer, issuing the loan documentation to our lenders and dealing with client enquiries. In my spare time I enjoy rugby (as a spectator only!), walking my dog and travelling.
I am new to the Legal team at FOLK2FOLK so my role is constantly evolving. I recently moved to Cornwall with my fiancé and our beautiful, 11-month-old cocker spaniel, and we are enjoying exploring the lovely countryside and beaches, which is our favourite place to be.
I've had a varied career, being a banker to the aristocracy and A-list Hollywood film stars. Over the last 20 years, I have focused on Risk and Portfolio Management, being responsible for global asset management, including landmark real estate projects, rail networks, aviation and marine portfolios. I have a personal interest in property renovation, with a particular interest in sustainable property development. I love spending time with my grandchildren… a great joy of my life.
I have recently joined FOLK2FOLK as Loans Administrator to support the Borrowing team. At present my role is constantly evolving, meaning my days are extremely varied! I live with my fiancé and our two daughters and our family time is spent exploring Cornwall, cooking, seeing friends and making memories.
I work for FOLK2FOLK as a loans officer dealing with loan redemptions and customer account reviews and queries. I'm a dairy farmer's son with 37 years in financial services where I worked with a number of SME and agricultural businesses in Cornwall for a bank. Amongst my interests are cricket and I'm Treasurer and player at Truro CC- also on the committee of Cornwall County CC. Interested in both family and military history and read widely - mainly on Georgian and Napoleonic themes.
I have worked at Folk2Folk since inception, initially in the lending team before moving to the borrower team, processing applications. I have remained in this team, which is now much larger than it was before! I have previous experience in administration and finance. Out of work I dedicate my time to my ‘Yorkiepoo’, Herbie, as well as cooking and entertaining.
I have worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 30 years and at FOLK2FOLK for 3 years. My role within FOLK2FOLK is the manager of the Loan Matching team. I contact lenders when a loan becomes available to give the details of the opportunity to ascertain if the client would like to lend. I enjoy speaking with clients on a daily basis and maintain a close relationship with them. On a personal level, I enjoy cooking, gardening and walking – one of my favourite places being the Isles of Scilly.

I have now returned to my home county of Cornwall. In my spare time I enjoy fair-weather cycling and playing my violin in a local orchestra.
After 10 years in private practise and in-house as a commercial property lawyer in Bristol and London, I moved to Devon and now lead the Professional Partnerships initiative at FOLK2FOLK. I love being “home” in the southwest running on Dartmoor, cycling, sea swimming and spending time with my daughter.
Ian has a practical farming background. From March 2001 until January 2018 he was CEO of the Addington Fund, supporting farming families during FMD and developing the Fund’s affordable housing work, before joining FOLK2FOLK. He remains very involved with many farming organisations and continues to participant in the Prince of Wales Affordable Housing Initiative.
Having worked in marketing and communications for global and multinational businesses in London, Singapore and Sydney for 20 years, I returned home to the countryside of Devon and Cornwall and began working with small and micro businesses; I have always admired the amazing energy and determination of the entrepreneurs that run them. I'm proud to work for FOLK2FOLK, a company that fills a vital gap in helping local and rural businesses flourish. Outside of work you'll find me running around our 2 boys either on the moor, in the surf or on the rugby pitch!
I'm an ex-Young Farmer and an ex-farmers wife! With 20 years experience of working in marketing, I was previously Marketing Manager for Coodes in Cornwall, I went on to work for Cornwall Community Foundation before setting up my own CSR consultancy and clients included Visit Cornwall, Cornwall Chamber and Rotary International. I moved back to Gloucestershire 4 years ago and I set up the Assn. of Glos Business Groups and now chair Glos Forwards in partnership with Glos. Rugby. I have two gorgeous grown-up girls, a crazy dog, and a passion for rugby and horses… and fine food!
I recently joined FOLK2FOLK as a Marketing Executive with a focus on social media, events and email marketing. Having two years previous experience in Marketing and I am very excited to develop my career within this team. I have lived in North Cornwall for the majority of my life and enjoy exploring the coastlines and countryside Cornwall has to offer.
Previously specialising in Real Estate, General Trading Businesses and Agriculture, my skill set led me to a position at FOLK2FOLK. Rural lending is the lifeblood of the area I now call home and it therefore makes sense for me to be a part of a company that strives to support it.

I support projects within the business which means my days and weeks are very varied! I work on anything from product launches to improving the ways we do everyday tasks. At home I have 2 cats and 2 dogs and enjoy songwriting, singing with my band and an array of creative hobbies.
Having previously worked in the travel industry I gained some great experience of working in a motivated team delivering excellent customer service. I am delighted to bring those skills to FOLK2FOLK as I understand that great communication skills and a warm welcome is what people expect and deserve. I love spending time with family and friends, keeping fit at my local gym and walking my dog along some of Cornwall’s most beautiful coastal paths.
Throughout my working career, the customer experience has always been an integral part of my day to day activity. This has varied from; call centres and office based case handling for high value accounts within a high street bank, to customer facing services. I enjoy providing an exceptional experience from start to finish to ensure the customer receives the best possible outcome. Out of work, I love spending time with my family and our dog Maggie, reading, baking and travelling.
After 15 years of working within Commercial Banking, managing a portfolio of clients across all sectors, I’m pleased to use my lending skills in my role as Business Development Manager helping local & rural businesses to grow. Outside of work, you can find me running or cycling around West Cornwall with my husband & various friends. I also enjoy a nice cup of coffee & piece of cake with them afterwards. I love going to new places & seeing different things.
After nearly 29 years in banking, it’s so refreshing to have something different to offer clients. Helping both Lenders and Borrowers really makes my day! When I’m not here, I’m often out on my bike and have challenged myself to complete the Windsor Triathlon in 2018!
I have 10 years’ experience in financial and customer services and joined FOLK2FOLK as the ISA Manager. I've recently been promoted to Head of Customer Services and it’s great to be able to use the skills and knowledge I’ve built over the years. Outside of work I enjoy anything outdoors, walking my dogs, surfing and camping.
I joined Folk2Folk and originally worked within the Borrowing team before moving to the Customer Service team. I now deal with new loan applications, supporting our Customers who are looking to become Borrowers. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family and my two dogs and exploring the beautiful Cornish countryside.
Tim has over 30 years experience in financial services – beginning his career with Lloyds and then Abbey National. Having founded and run Cahoot bank at the start of the internet era, Tim moved on to running a network of banks for the Sampoerna conglomerate of Indonesia.
Tim spent several years as COO for KRBS and was recently Chairman of Banque Dubois in Switzerland. Currently Tim is also CEO of Start Up Loans, a private sector initiative backed by Government with mandate of delivering £350m funding to start up companies so that they can create 50k new jobs.
Tim was awarded a CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honors List in 2016.
Giles brings over 20 years’ experience in marketing financial services. Recently, Giles was responsible for leading the marketing department at wealth management business Sanlam UK where he established the business as a recognized award-winning market leader for digital intelligence. He also previously worked at The English Mutual Group. Giles joined FOLK2FOLK in 2017 as Chief Marketing Officer and was announced as CEO in January 2018.
Louis is a founder, director and shareholder of FOLK2FOLK. Alongside his drive and passion for developing the FOLK2FOLK business and brand, Louis is a Director and the Head of Parnalls Solicitors Property Department. Having grown up in mid Cornwall and trained as a solicitor in Truro, on qualification, Louis joined the prestigious national firm Burges Salmon LLP where he spent three years before joining Parnalls as a Director in March 2010. With experience in a multitude of sectors including leisure, rural land, agriculture, retail, transport and telecommunications, Louis has acted for a range of clients including public limited companies, investment funds, small and medium sized businesses, charities and private individuals.”
