On a local level, the transactions between our Borrowers and Lenders have an impact which may be felt far beyond their peer to peer relationship. Often there is a flow on of positive benefits to the local community, in the form of employment for example. We call this FOLKONOMICS™.

  • Business Analyst

    Location: Head Office - Launceston

    Contract Type: One year contract, full time hours

    We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst to cover a period of maternity cover on a one year contract. There is the potential for an extension of contract or a permanent role at the end of the year.

    We are a growing financial services business located in spacious offices in Launceston. we can offer a competitive salary, generous holiday, holiday purchase scheme, your birthday off, life cover, free parking, free fruit, a commitment to supporting charities and social events. Our hours of work are Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00 with an hour for lunch.


    A summary of the two main deliveries for the first half of the year are outlined below:


    FOLK2FOLK has a need to implement a replacement loan management engine to run our loan book. There is no bespoke coding in the software we would be reviewing, but the Business Analyst must ensure that the implementation is configured in a way that meets all stakeholder requirements. The individual must identify where internal business processes need to be adapted to create a good fit with the software being introduced


    Currently all fees and interest payments are collected by standing order and FOLK2FOLK would like to switch to collection by Direct Debit. Full analysis is required of the potential impacts and areas that need to be considered, in order to determine any task dependencies and produce the most efficient delivery plan prior to implementation


    The ability to work under pressure, on multiple projects within the project timeframes
    Excellent oral & written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with audiences at all levels of the organisation
    A self-starter with analytical thinking and problem solving capabilities
    Detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy
    Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering change
    Knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Visio, Word)
    Strong stakeholder analysis and requirement elicitation skills
    System testing experience
    Financial services experience (preferred)
