The final awards ceremony of this year’s Devon & Cornwall Venus Awards was held at the beautiful St Mellion International Resort in Cornwall on 29th March 2019 hosted by Tara Howard, founder of the Venus Awards, and Alexis Bowater of Bowater Communications.
We were thrilled to be a part of the Venus Awards this year celebrating the hard-working women in business who don’t get enough recognition for the work they do. As a company whose workforce is over 70% female, including our senior management team, and have no gender pay gap, the Venus Awards is a great way to support even more women in business in the South West.
Choosing our winner for the ‘Influential Woman’ category was not an easy one, all of our finalist and semi-finalists were all amazing and influential women in their own rights but we are delighted to announce that FOLK2FOLK’s Influential Woman of the year is Lucy Findlay of Social Enterprise Mark CIC.
“I’m amazed and delighted to win this award. The competition was really fierce and all the women shortlisted were so outstanding in their influencing talents too.
I would like to thank both Venus and FOLK2FOLK for this opportunity, which especially recognised the work that we have been doing internationally. It’s great for social enterprise to get recognition in a business award and that we can change the face of business on the world platform.” – Lucy Findlay
We’d like to thank the Venus Awards, all the finalists and other sponsors for a fabulous evening!
