Being in it’s 6th year, the Devon & Cornwall Venus Awards remain consistently strong having over 1100 nominations and 340 applicants making it a highly sought-after award.
On 10th January, Plymouth Gin hosted a wonderful evening for over 100 applicants, sponsors and guests to witness the announcement of the Semi-Finalists for the 15 different categories for this year’s Devon & Cornwall Venus Awards.
As a company with 76% of its workforce being female, FOLK2FOLK knows how important it is to recognise women at work and be able to celebrate their successes. For the 2019 awards FOLK2FOLK has the pleasure of sponsoring the ‘Influential Woman’ category, with 25 applicants all with wonderfully uplifting and interesting backgrounds, made the task of choosing only 5 Semi-Finalists very difficult.
After a lot of deliberation, the FOLK2FOLK semi-finalists for ‘Influential Woman’ are:
Emily Beaumont – Plymouth Marjon University
Teresa Bulford-Cooper – TBC Training & Coaching
Tracey Duke – EXETER REAL
Lucy Findlay – Social Enterprise Mark CIC
Alison Jordan – Pete’s Dragon
The eighty-five successful contestants from all categories who became Semi-Finalists, now go through to the next stage of the judging process and the Finalists will be announced on 8th February at Pentillie Castle.
The final announcement for the Winners of the Devon & Cornwall Venus Awards 2019 will be at a glamorous Ceremony and Gala Dinner on the 29th March.
FOLK2FOLK would like to wish all Semi-Finalists the best of luck!
