FOLK2FOLK Launches Three Counties Hub (Cotswold Taste)

Folk2Folk expansion

FOLK2FOLK, the national, award-winning, Peer-2-Peer lending platform for local and rural businesses, has repositioned its Tewkesbury office as a regional hub, so as to expand into the Three Counties (Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and Herefordshire).

The Cotswold Taste business partner has decided to take this step in response to increased interest and local demand.

Serving the needs of investors and borrowers

The move will expand its geographic footprint and its services to the thriving local and business communities - and better serve the needs of investors and businesses looking for finance across the region. The Hub will also offer a ‘hot desk’ facility for business people looking to work on the move, and will host a number of local events to encourage community-driven thinking. There will also be space at the Hub for local groups to hold meetings and network.

‘Enabling local investment key post-Brexit’

FOLK2FOLK was set up to create and sustain financially successful local communities, by helping local businesses to borrow money through matching them directly with investors through its Peer-2-Peer lending platform.

Giles Cross, Chief Marketing Officer at FOLK2FOLK, said: ‘This is an exciting move for us. Enabling local investment and the free flow of capital in local communities will be vital in a postBrexit environment. ‘People want to invest their money transparently and locally, see the huge positive impact their actions make at first hand, and receive a great investment return at the same time’, Giles adds. ‘You can expect to see a lot more of us—we want to become the ‘first choice call’ for local investors and business owners’.

FOLK2FOLK recently launched its ‘local’ Innovative Finance ISA to allow local investors to earn tax-free interest, when they support local businesses with finance to help them grow.
